Answers to the most common questions about studying at the Daystar University Graduate School.
Browse ProgrammesYou can apply online through the Daystar University application portal at application.daystar.ac.ke. Create an account, complete the postgraduate application form, upload the required academic documents, and submit your application. Once reviewed, the Admissions office will guide you through the next steps including the offer letter and registration.
For Masters programmes you generally need a relevant Bachelor's degree from a recognised institution. For PhD programmes you need a relevant Master's degree and, for most programmes, a research proposal. Specific requirements vary by programme and school, so we encourage you to check the individual programme page for full details.
Daystar offers postgraduate programmes through flexible modes of study to accommodate working professionals, including full-time, part-time (evening/weekend), and some blended or online delivery options depending on the programme. Visit the specific programme page or contact the Graduate School office for the exact mode of delivery for the course you are interested in.
Most Masters programmes take between 1.5 and 2 years of study, while PhD programmes typically take 3 to 4 years including research and thesis writing. The exact duration depends on the programme structure, your pace of study, and the time taken to complete your research.
Once enrolled, you are assigned qualified supervisors who guide you through your research from proposal development to final submission. Progress is monitored through the Thesis Management System (TMS), and the Graduate School organises workshops, seminars and colloquiums to support you at every stage of your research journey.
